Ocala police to host town hall meeting for Deaf community

The Ocala Police Department is hosting a town hall meeting this week for members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30 at OPD headquarters located at 402 S Pine Avenue in Ocala, and interpreters from Hands Up Communications will be in attendance.

According to the Ocala Police Department, the free event will feature a discussion on ways to improve communications with local law enforcement. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak with OPD officers to address any law enforcement concerns.
