A full road closure is planned next week on SW Broadway Street, between SW 6th Avenue and SW 5th Avenue, due to railroad track repairs in the area.
The road closure will be in effect on Thursday, June 8 through Friday, June 9, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The purpose of the road closure is to accommodate the correction of a track defect located in the CSX Railroad crossing.
All necessary devices will be in place to redirect traffic. During construction times, motorists may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project area.
Below are the detour routes:
- Eastbound traffic on SW Broadway Street: Right turn on SW 7th Avenue, left turn on SW 3rd Street, left turn onto SW 5th Avenue, and right turn back onto SW Broadway Street.
- Westbound traffic on SW Broadway Street: Left turn on SW 5th Avenue, left turn on SW 3rd Street, right turn on SW 7th Avenue, and left turn back onto SW Broadway Street.
