Marion County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on SW 108th Lane in Ocala on Friday night.
At around 9 p.m., MCSO deputies responded to the 1600 block of SW 108th Lane in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult female victim who had been shot, according to a social media post from the sheriff’s office.
The deputies rendered aid until paramedics arrived on scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
MCSO Major Crimes detectives arrived on scene and are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting. “All parties involved are accounted for and are being interviewed,” stated the sheriff’s office on its Facebook page.
No further details were released by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation is ongoing.
