Carole Ann (Thibault) Spofford, 87, passed away on September 2,2023. Carole was born on September 25,1935 in Nahma,Michigan to Harold J and Lillian (LaCost) Thibault. As a child the family moved to Green Bay, WI, where Carole graduated from St. Joseph Academy.
On August 20th,1955 Carole married the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Spofford. They were married 69 years! Carole had 8 children, Cynthia (Dave) Nielsen, Eric Spofford, Sharon Spofford, Mary Nelson, Sue Spofford, Jonathan Spofford, Amy Garrity, and RoseMarie (Christopher) Nelson. Carole had 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Richard,a grandson, Nicholas Ebeling and a great grand daughter, Honesty Grace Henderson.
Carole loved reading, history and gardening. She was a die hard Packer fan. Carole cherished being. “Mom” and “Grandma”. Carole and Dick spent many weekends camping, and summers taking the kids on “road trips” to many historical areas of America. Bowling and making toy chests and Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for the grandkids were great memories she did with Richard.
Carole’s kids will forever remember being called to the house by the. “Cowbell” and swimming parties, outdoor cookouts, and very large Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings.
The “kids” want to thank Mom and Dad for all the love and memories. Mom spent the last couple years in Florida where she enjoyed the weather, the beach and made a trip to The Keys. Till the end, Mom was a motivator. Thanks for all you did and all you sacrificed, Mom. Love you, always!
