Vivian Johnston

A new angel is checking in. Vivian Johnston received her wings and gracefully transitioned on August 12, 2023, at the age of 87.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Joe Johnston, her adoring sons Joe Rispoli and Fred Rispoli, stepson Christopher Johnston, and a legacy of five grandchildren: Jessica Lietz, Nick Rispoli, Sara Jo Charles, Jonathan Rispoli, and Nathan Warr. Her eight great-grandchildren, brought immense joy to her later years. Her warm embrace also extended to a vast extended family and countless cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina.
Born in Staten Island, New York, Vivian’s journey led her to Florida, where she found her true calling. She owned and operated the beloved Italian restaurant, Rispoli’s. Later, she dedicated over 30 years of her life to Ocala Regional Medical Center, where she worked in the cafeteria and provided not just care but also a boundless well of compassion to anyone she met there.
A funeral service for Vivian was held at Roberts Funeral Home on Wednesday September 6.
