Corlene Cunningham Hines, born July 21, 1937, and entered heavens gates August 23, 2023. She was born to Ralph and Helen (Brown) Cunningham and raised in Bombay, NY. She attended Bombay High School and graduated in 1955. She moved to Syracuse, NY and worked at the Harold Journal for many years. She was married to William Hines, an Air Force Captain who passed away in 2013. Corlene and husband Bill were avid travelers and loved their dogs, especially Duke and Taffy.
Sisters who preceded Corlene in death are Joan Phelps of Wolcott, NY, Diane Disco of Marietta, GA and Martha Trippany of Clarkesville, TN.
Living brothers are Joseph Cunningham of Syracuse, NY and William Cunningham of Constable, NY. Missing Corlene is her stepdaughter Sharon Gibson, step-grandson Justin Gibson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and church friends at Queen of Peace Catholic Church (Ocala, FL).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, beginning at 08:30AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW State Road 200, Ocala, FL. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, FL at 2:00PM.
Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association or Hospice of Marion County.
