A local entrepreneur has started a new mobile bartending service that provides customized packages for a wide variety of events, including birthdays and weddings.
What’s the Buzz started serving its first drinks in August, according to owner/operator Regina M. Alvers, who has over 15 years of experience in the industry.
The new service offers multiple packages to accommodate a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic events. That includes a Babe’s Ball, which features bartending services for up to 40 guests; the Basic Blitz, which features alcoholic drinks for up to 25 guests; and a Blowout option that covers up to 150 guests.
For certain packages, Alvers says she creates custom, specialty cocktails that are tailored around an event’s theme.
Most of her rates are hourly, based on the size of the group being served and supplies needed.
Earlier this month, Alvers announced that she will also begin offering mixology classes for groups of up to nine.
“Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your favorite drinks with ease? Do you want to have a fun evening with some friends pouring, shaking, and tasting cocktails? Then schedule your Masterful Mixology Mixer for you and up to 9 of your friends,” reads a post from one of the company’s social media pages.
Alvers says the company is fully licensed and fully insured, and that she is certified by the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) program.
“Available for all different types of events from Sip and Sees to Holiday Parties; from mocktail mixers to craft cocktail hours; from the smallest soiree to the biggest blow out,” says Alvers.
