Nicolas Vincent Lema

Nicolas “Vincent” Lema, age 98, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 16, 1924 in Guayaquil, Ecuador to the late Francisco and Cira (Ramirez) Lema. He was one of five siblings.
Vincent was taxi driver in Ecuador and moved to the Ocala area about 30 years ago. He was Catholic by faith and spent countless hours in his yard tending to the landscaping and growing fruits and vegetables to include oranges and yucca. He also had a love for animals, especially his daughter, Yvonne’s dog.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Lema.
Survivors include his three daughters, Mirna Lema, Cira Y. Melendez and Yvonne Conforti; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be planned in the future at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, Florida.
