Give4Marion returns this week after raising over $770,000 for nonprofits in 2022

The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County will kick off its Give4Marion event on Tuesday, September 19, and nonprofit organizations across Ocala, Marion County, and surrounding communities will be taking part in the 33-hour fundraising campaign.

The annual Give4Marion event will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, and it will run continuously through 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20.

“This 33-hour celebration of giving promises to unite our community, support local nonprofits, and make a lasting impact,” states the Community Foundation in a press release.

Give4Marion offers people a convenient way to give to multiple nonprofit organizations and charitable funds through a single platform. In 2022, the third installment of the event raised just over $770,000 for 87 different nonprofit organizations in Ocala/Marion County.

This year, over 100 local nonprofits will be participating in Give4Marion. According to the Community Foundation, the event encompasses a diverse range of beneficiaries, including education, healthcare, the arts, and environmental conservation, to name a few.

Power hour prizes will be awarded throughout the event to large and small nonprofits, respectively, with the most donors within the hour. There will also be scheduled Matching Moments, where all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100, and several nonprofits have secured their own matching gifts as well.
