To the Editor:
I live in a 55-plus community named Palm Cay. Next to us, a builder is cleaning the ground to build houses. He is burning the debris. The problem is that it is too close to the houses.
The community’s residents are suffering the effects of the burning because the smoke, the smell, and the ashes are falling down like snowflakes. We are senior citizens. We contacted the county commissioners a couple of times and nothing gets fixed.
Many people’s lungs are suffering because of this situation. I’m a lung cancer patient. There are more people like me that are suffering at the hands of this nonsense.
The ground is located on SW 103rd. We hope that you can give us a little help. Thanks and God bless.
