To the Editor:
Dog owners should accept the fact that not everyone loves their furry friends. Some people are afraid of dogs because of a previous attack. Many people are deathly allergic to dogs. Dogs carry bacteria that can be deadly, and I know this for a fact because I almost lost my leg due to a bacterial infection caused by my dog (only dogs carry this). Many germaphobes cringe when they see animals near their food. Parents have to control their children from reaching for a stranger’s dog, an interaction in which either the child or dog might be injured. Do the right thing and respect the law – leave your dog safely at home when you shop.
