‘Coffee with a Cop’ returns to McDonald’s in Ocala next week

Law enforcement officers in Ocala and Marion County are inviting the community to join them at a local fast-food restaurant next week for a meet-and-greet event.

In recognition of “National Coffee with a Cop Day,” Ocala Police Department officers and Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be at the McDonald’s located at 3595 W Silver Springs Boulevard in Ocala on Wednesday, October 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

During the two-hour event, attendees will get to speak with local law enforcement officers while enjoying a free small hot or iced premium roast coffee.

State Attorney Bill Gladson will also be in attendance to meet members of the community.

According to OPD, the mission of Coffee with a Cop is to “break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and to get to know the officers in your neighborhood.”

To learn more about the event, visit the Coffee with a Cop website.
