The City of Ocala will be hosting a free tire disposal event for residents on Saturday, October 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tire disposal locations will be set up at the corner of NE 14th Street and NE 8th Avenue, as well as at the Hampton Aquatic Fun Center located at 255 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
There is a limit of 10 tires per resident and tires generated by businesses will not be accepted, according to a press release from the city.
This service is for residents who live within the city limits. A driver’s license listing an Ocala address may be requested.
