Roderick L. Washington Jr., also known as “Mook”, was born to the parents Shari Sesler-Thomas and Roderick L. Washington, Sr. He was raised in Ocala, Florida, and educated through Marion County public schools, and was a graduate of West Port High School. Roderick loved spending time with his family, and a small circle of friends, playing basketball and having fun water sporting. On October 31, 2023, our beloved Roderick “Mook” departed this earthly life for his new home.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Claudeen Kinsler; maternal grandfather, William Sesler; paternal grandmother, Cecil Mae Washington; paternal grandfather, Leroy Davis; cousin, Maxie L. Graham, Jr.; uncle, Joel Searight; and brother, Antonio L. Gordon, Jr. “Poke Chop”. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Shari Selser-Thomas (Willard) and Roderick L.
