Rudolph O. Lawrence, 84, of Ocala, FL, passed away November 5, 2023.
Ruddy was born in German Town, Trelawny, Jamaica, West Indies on May 13, 1939. He graduated from Ulster Spring Primary High School of German Town, receiving his diploma. He married Haedel Lawrence on December 22, 2007.
Ruddy had a career in sales management and worked as an union shop steward for Murddock Goodman for 34 years.
He was a member of Hope Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church of Ocala where he served as a men’s ministry member. He was also a Shores Community Patrol Volunteer for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, and he had a passion for dominoes, cricket, Jamaican soccer, and Monday night wrestling.
Ruddy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Viola Lawrence.
He is survived by his spouse, Haedel Lawrence; daughters, Vivienne and Sasha; siblings, Bill, Glen, Jean, Sylvia and Yvonne; and a host of other relatives.
A memorial service for Ruddy will be held at Hope Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church of Ocala, 1345 Pine Rd, Ocala, FL 34472 on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 11:00 am.
