Johnny Harper, 65, of Ocala, Florida, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023 at Advent Health Ocala. He was the husband of Debra Harper. They were married in 1989 and shared over 30 years of love and happiness together.

Born in Hamilton, Alabama, Johnny was the oldest son of Betty & Glen Harper. He was mostly self-educated after high school, with a passion for computers. While Johnny had various careers throughout his life, he had finally been able to retire and enjoy being home with his loving wife.

He enjoyed computers, and anything to do with how they worked and how to make them work faster. He enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren about everything and was always patient with them. He will always be remembered for his dry humor, quick wit, and love for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra and his 3 daughters: Melody, Misty, and Amber (Joseph). He had 5 grandchildren: Lindsey, Justin, Timothy, Benjamin, and Rheanna; and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Timmy (Mickey) and Tommy (Amy); a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his daughter Meranda.

Services for Johnny will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at Roberts Funeral Home in Ocala, Florida. Visitation time will be from 10am to 12pm, with services beginning at noon. He will be laid to rest in Matthews Cemetery in Fairfield, Florida.
