‘Porch pirate’ wanted by deputies for stealing package from NE Ocala home

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the community to identify a woman who stole a package that had been delivered to a residence in northeast Ocala.

Shortly after 10:40 a.m. on November 29, 2023, the female theft suspect (pictured below) went to a home in the 4200 block of NE 33rd Avenue in Ocala and stole a package from the front porch, according to a social media post from the sheriff’s office.

The female victim told deputies that she was waiting for a package to be delivered when she checked her video doorbell footage and saw the theft suspect pick it up.

MCSO stated that the female suspect proceeded to conceal the package under her jacket before fleeing northbound on NE 33rd Avenue.
