Robert Louis Maurino passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, at the age of 77, in Ocala, Florida.

Born on December 8, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Bob lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a career that showcased his resilience and work ethic. Bob honorably served his nation in the United States Army before embarking on a distinguished career in sales in New York City. Upon retirement, he found solace and warmth in the sunny climes of Florida, where he continued to be an active and cherished member of his community.

Married for 43 years to his late wife, Paula (San Millan) Maurino, Bob was a loving father and doting grandfather. High school sweethearts who attended Oceanside High School on Long Island, Bob and Paula had five children together, nine amazing grandchildren, and many beloved dogs and pets.

His second marriage to Frances (Rosato) Maurino was a testament to his capacity for love and joy, as they spent 12 beautiful years dancing, traveling the world, and making the most of their golden years together. Bob was known for his vibrant storytelling, infectious laughter, and his love for sports and music that he shared with all who knew him. His unwavering faith and commitment to lifelong learning served as an inspiration to many.

The Maurino family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Bob’s memory. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, March 6th, at 11:00 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd., Calverton, NY. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 PM at the Lindenhurst VFW, 560 N. Delaware Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY.

Bob’s life was a beacon of love, laughter, and the pursuit of knowledge. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
