Ocala National Forest office closing for one day

The ranger district office at the Ocala National Forest will be closed for one day this week.

According to a statement issued by the U.S. Forest Service in Florida, the office located at 17147 E State Road 40 will be closed on Wednesday, March 27.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. Plan your visit accordingly and stay tuned for further updates,” reads a statement from the organization. “Stay safe and enjoy our national forests responsibly!”

The office is regularly open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed on weekends and Federal holidays.

On Thursday, the U.S. Navy will continue inert bomb testing at the Pinecastle Range Complex in the forest.
