Ocala park temporarily closing for sidewalk repairs

City officials announced the week-long closure of a popular local park for maintenance and sidewalk repairs.

The city of Ocala issued notice on Tuesday that the playground and pavilion at Scott Springs Park, which is located at 2825 SW 24th Avenue, are closed “effective immediately” for sidewalk repairs and maintenance.

“During this time, the bike trails and main spring will remain open to the public,” reads the statement from the city.

The park is expected to reopen on Wednesday, April 10, according to the city.

“During construction times, guests may experience noise and heavy equipment within the project area,” reads the statement.
