Ocala bartender arrested in Florida Keys on battery charges

A 33-year-old Ocala woman was arrested in the Florida Keys on multiple charges of battery and resisting arrest after she allegedly attacked three people in a residence and kicked at responding deputies.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence along West Cahill Court in Big Pine Key at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8 in reference to a domestic battery.

Upon arrival, deputies interviewed two men and one woman who all had scratches and other “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

The victims claimed to have sustained their injuries in a physical altercation with Heidi Mae Giurbino.

When deputies approached Giurbino, she “kicked” at them and resisted arrest, according to the statement.

Giurbino was eventually taken into custody later that evening.

According to the arrest record, Giurbino listed her occupation as “bartender.” She is charged with three misdemeanor counts of battery and one felony count of resisting arrest with violence.
