Crumbl Cookies announces opening date of Ocala location

Crumbl Cookies says it will hand out free chocolate chip cookies throughout the opening day of its new location in Ocala, which is its first in Marion County.

The cookie shop will officially open its doors at 4414 SW College Road, Suite 325, on Friday, May 24 at 8 a.m.

“Celebrate the Grand Opening of our Ocala store on Friday, May 24th, starting at 8 a.m. We will be handing out free chocolate chip cookies all day,” reads a statement issued by the company.

In addition to free cookies on opening day, the shop will also give three random customers a free 4-pack box of cookies.

Located within the Market Street at Heath Brook, the new Crumbl is next door to a space formerly occupied by Pie-O-Mine, which closed last fall. That spot was taken over by Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, which is currently under construction.

Although Crumbl operates locations in nearby Lake and Alachua Counties, the new location in Ocala will also be the first in Marion County.

Crumbl was co-founded by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley in Utah in 2017. In the past few years, the company has seen an explosion in growth and has grown to around 1,000 locations either open or in various stages of development.

Like the hundreds of Crumbl locations that have opened in the past few years, the new location in Ocala will feature the company’s ever-rotating menu and pink boxes that have become synonymous with the brand.

Each week, the cookie company offers four new flavors that are inspired by “cakes, candies, pies, and desserts of all kinds,” according to its website.
