Ocala brewery seeking liquor license for new 15,000 sq. ft. facility

The owners of a new, 15,000-square-foot brewery under construction in the Tuscawilla Park Historic District are seeking approval for a liquor license as they prepare to open the facility to the public.

DOM Partners, LLC will come before the Ocala City Council on Tuesday to make the request for an alcoholic beverage location permit for the company’s new Infinite Ale Works location, which will be situated at 235 NE Watula Avenue, within the Tuscawilla Park Historic District.

The new brewery is just over a half mile from the current Infinite Ale Works, which is located at 304 S Magnolia Avenue.

DOM Partners, LLC is a corporate entity comprised of husband and wife Tom and Kristin McDonald, business partners and owners of Infinite Ale Works. The new property is owned by Brewery in Midtown, LLC. That company is registered to Mr. McDonald and Mike Owen, a general contractor and the owner of Owen Construction.

Together, the business partners have transformed the massive property, adding a slew of amenities in the process. The project first broke ground in April 2022 at the site, which formerly housed Ocala Fire Station One.

The facility will also feature over 1,000 square feet of offices, as well as brewing operations and a coffee shop.

According to city records, when it opens, the facility plans to operate Monday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The space will offer 30 parking spaces, 250 seats, and the business says it hopes to employ approximately 15 employees.

Infinite Ale Works is one of several projects that have contributed to the development of the Tuscawilla Historic District.

Last week, city officials celebrated the grand opening of the new “Heart of the Park” building that took over the old American Legion building.

The Reilly Arts Center underwent a series of renovations that included the addition of a black box theatre.

The area also saw the addition of a new set of apartments in 2021.

The Ocala City Council next meets at Ocala City Hall (110 SE Watula Avenue) on Tuesday, May 21, at 4 p.m. The council regularly meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
