SR 200 ramp to I-75 closing nightly for resurfacing

The on-ramp from State Road 200 to southbound Interstate 75 will close for three nights beginning Monday as crews continue to resurface and improve the highway.

From Monday, May 20, through Wednesday, May 22, the on-ramp from SR 200 to southbound I-75 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., according to a statement from the Florida Department of Transportation.

The roadwork is part of FDOT project 443170-1, which calls for major improvements on I-75 from the Sumter County line to SR 200, including resurfacing, reconstructing median crossovers, and several other upgrades.

FDOT has shared the following detours for the closure:

  • For motorists who are traveling southwest on SR 200 and trying to get onto southbound I-75, continue southwest, turn left on Southwest 60th Avenue, turn left on Southwest 95th Street, turn right on Southwest 49th Avenue, turn left on Marion Oaks Trail, turn left on County Road (C.R.) 484, and continue east before reaching the on ramp for southbound I-75.
  • Motorists who are traveling northeast on SR 200 and trying to get onto southbound I-75 should turn right on Southwest 43rd Street Road before the interchange, continue east onto Southwest 42nd Street, continue east onto Southwest 32nd Street, turn right on C.R. 475, turn right on C.R. 484, and continue west before reaching the on-ramp for southbound I-75.

Later this week, FDOT will close the on-ramp from County Road 484 to the interstate for similar work.
