Free admission to Silver Springs, Rainbow Springs state parks this weekend

State parks around Florida are allowing free admission through Monday to encourage families to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend outside.

During an announcement last month for the upcoming Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that all Florida State Parks will be free to enter this weekend.

“Florida’s 175 award-winning state parks are second to none,” said Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Shawn Hamilton. “I encourage all of Florida’s residents and visitors to take advantage of these extra savings and discover the unique experiences the real Florida has to offer.”

The promotion includes two parks in Marion County, Silver Springs State Park (5656 Silver Springs Boulevard) and Rainbow Springs State Park (19158 SW 81st Pl Rd), and will last through Monday, May 27.
