Manuel D. Guzman Tavarez, affectionately known to all as Manny, passed away on May 16, 2024, in Ocala, Florida. Born on December 21, 1979, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Manny brought joy and laughter to everyone he met throughout his 44 years of life.

Manny was a devoted husband to his wife, Ana, and a father whose love knew no bounds. His children, Israel, Steven with his wife Shriya, and Jessica, were his pride and joy. He cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, Nyemi, Iziah, Ava, and Jai, who will miss their grandfather’s playful spirit and endless affection. Manny was a beloved son to his parents, Maria Tavarez and Jesus Guzman, stepdad Jose Martinez, and Jose and Fita Ventura, whom he loved as parents. His siblings, Marilyn Vega, Omayra Guzman, and Jose Lopez will hold dear the memories of their brother’s unwavering support and camaraderie. Manny’s warmth also extended to his host of nieces and nephews, along with countless friends, all of whom found a place in his generous heart. His fur baby, Chanel, was his constant companion and will surely feel the absence of her loving owner.

Professionally, Manny was known as a dedicated truck driver who loved the freedom of the open road. His passion for driving was evident to all who knew him, as he often shared stories of the sights he’d seen and the people he’d met during his travels. His colleagues respected him not only for his work ethic but also for his ability to brighten even the longest of days with his humor and easygoing nature. Manny’s interests outside of work were centered on his family. He was truly the best at everything, especially when it came to being a father and grandfather. Whether he was coaching a little league game or hosting family barbecues, his outgoing and friendly personality made every occasion memorable. Manny’s sense of humor was infectious, and he was always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His presence was a source of joy and comfort to his loved ones.

Even in his leisure, Manny’s heart was full of love for his family. His happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his kids and grandkids, where he could be found joking and playing, always the life of the party. His love for them was immeasurable, and he instilled in them values of kindness, generosity, and the importance of laughter. Manny’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the joy of life’s simple pleasures.
