$5K reward offered to help find suspect who beat, sexually battered 91-year-old in Marion home

A $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of beating and sexually battering a 91-year-old Reddick woman in her home early Sunday morning.

According to Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods, the elderly victim woke up at around midnight on Sunday, June 9, and saw the male suspect sneaking through her residence.

“In a cruel act of violence, (the victim) was beaten and sexually battered,” stated Sheriff Woods in a social media post.

No further details were provided by the sheriff’s office regarding the incident or the suspect.

As MCSO detectives continue their investigation into the incident, Sheriff Woods encourages the community to “unite to protect our most vulnerable citizens.”
