Richard Gregory Snyder, 77, of Ocala, Florida, passed away at 1:10am Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at his home.

He was born April 24, 1947 in Bloomington, Indiana, to Richard Doyan and Rosalie Gladys (Toney) Snyder. On November 14, 1970, he married Debra Kay Hopper who survives. Greg was a 1965 graduate of Western High School. He attended Indiana University and Asbury College, BA degree, and received an MBA degree from Ball State University. He served in the USAR as a staff sergeant with Honorable Discharge. He retired after 30 years as Finance Manager for Lockheed Martin Aerospace.

Greg was a very generous, hard working and courageous man. He truly loved his family and church brothers and sisters in Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tennis and watching baseball. He gained the most pleasure in teaching his children and grandchildren life skills, whether changing brakes, coaching little league, or how to fish; he was in his happy place.

Greg was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ocala, Florida where he served as a Deacon, Community Group Teacher, and Choir Member.

Along with his wife Debra, Greg is also survived by his son, Jason Gregory Snyder, (Kimberly) Snyder; Daughter, Andrea Nicole Fried, (Joshua) Fried; Son, Brian Richard Snyder, (Crissy) Synder; Sisters, Cynthia (Gene) Ezell; Melinda (Greg) Myers; Zenda Snyder; Sarah Snyder; Grandchildren, Gage (Tiffany) Fried; Caden Fried; Gunnar Fried; Chase Snyder; Taylor Snyder; Karlyn Snyder; Jax Snyder; And several nieces and nephews; Sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Haigh; Rebecca Masters, Elizabeth (Larry) Bradburn.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Barry Snyder; and brother-in-law Jack Haigh.

Funeral Services will be held at Roberts Downtown Chapel, Wednesday June 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. family viewing, 11 a.m. public viewing, 12 noon service with Pastor Dr. Darren Gaddis officiating. Burial to follow with Pastor Hunter Lee officiating, Thursday June 20,2024 at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th St, Ocala, Fl.
