The United States Navy will continue conducting bomb tests at the Ocala National Forest this week leading up to the Fourth of July.
According to a release issued by the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, bomb testing will take place between Monday, July 1 and Wednesday, July 3 at the Pinecastle Range Complex within the Ocala National Forest.
On Monday, inert bomb testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. On Tuesday and Wednesday, inert bomb testing will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
During the bombing periods, motorists and local residents are advised to use extra caution driving through or around the Ocala National Forest, as wildlife may be scattered as a result of the noise.
Any items around residences that can attract wildlife should also be removed from the area.
