I-75 on-ramp at SR 200 temporarily closing for resurfacing

An on-ramp from State Road 200 to Interstate 75 will be temporarily closed this week as crews work to resurface the highway.

The I-75 southbound on-ramp from SR 200 will be closed from Thursday, July 11 at 8 p.m., through Friday, July 12 for resurfacing.

According to a statement issued by the Florida Department of Transportation, motorists traveling southwest on SR 200 will have to turn left onto SW 60th Avenue, left on SW 95th Street, right on SW 49th Avenue Road, left on Marion Oaks Trail, and left on County Road 484 to detour around the onramp.

Motorists traveling northeast on SR 200 will turn right on SW 43rd Street Road, before continuing east onto SW 42nd Street and SW 32nd Street, turning right on CR 475, and turning right on CR 484.

The roadwork is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to resurface I-75 through Marion County. In addition to the resurfacing, the project also calls for the reconstruction of median crossovers, guardrail updates, and minor drainage work along the highway, among other improvements.

According to FDOT, the roadwork schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
