To the Editor:
I’ve never read Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, but the title came to my mind recently as I contemplated the new political choices we have. Mars is known as the “God of war” and Venus as the “goddess of love.” I also liked the “Cathy” comic strip, especially when she said “This country doesn’t need another president….it needs a Mom.”
Today, moms have a lot on their plates. Speaking only from my experiences, I have made sure there is food on the table by shopping, cooking, and serving; paid the bills on time, gotten the children bathed, clothed, up for school, etc., gone to my job, cleaned my house, done my laundry, and found time for fun stuff.
Transfer those talents to taking care of a country and see where it leads us. Are men geared more towards war and women more towards love? I would like to see the difference, for a change.
