It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JAMES ERVIN KLEIN, age 80, who left us on July 20, 2024, at the E.W. & Lucille Cates House.
Jim was born in Fremont, Nebraska, to Ervin Raymond Klein & Lucille Viola Allard Klein on December 5, 1943.
He attended Fremont Senior High School, graduated in 1962. Jim honorably served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronics Technician (ETR-2) from 1962-1967. He later pursued his Associate’s degree at a Community College.
Throughout his career, he held various roles such as a Microwave Electronics Technician, Electronics Test Engineer, Senior Field Service Engineer, Customer Service Supervisor, and Sales Engineer.
Jim found joy in fishing, bowling, music, card games with friends, and exploring the world through travel. He also proudly served his peers through the American Legion and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife Silva Klein, son Gary Alan Klein, son-in-law James Lowell Richardson, step-son Paolo Kardenas, step-daughter-in-law Erica Kardenas, grandchildren Eivery & Eon, and brothers William Harvey Klein and Thomas Howard Klein.
He is preceded by his parents Ervin & Lucille Klein and his son Larry Dean Klein.
