Ann Peters Toth, 96, of Ocklawaha, FL, passed away on July 26, 2024, in Vero Beach, FL. She was born in Detroit, MI, on October 21, 1927, to George Peters and Anna (Polonkai) Peters.

After graduating high school in 1945, she moved to Miami, FL, and began working at Eastern Airlines in Stores Control in October. It was there she met Captain Joseph Toth, Sr, who happened to share her seniority date at Eastern (October 15th though five years apart). They married in 1959 and her career at the airlines ended when she became a mom in 1960. She spent this next phase of her life active in her parish of St. James volunteering at school and supporting her three children in their activities.

Because of Joe’s aviation passion, much time was spent at airports or airfields, air shows, friend’s hangars, as well as helping him with his task of rebuilding a plane for the Smithsonian. She moved to Ocklawaha in the early 1980s. Ann loved travelling, and was able to take several trips to the country of her parents, Hungary, where she enjoyed visiting with her relatives. She travelled with daughter Joanne’s family on many trips. She was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed watching her three grandchildren grow up and graduate from college.

Ann had a wealth of friends that she kept in touch with from grade school and high school, from the big Eastern Airlines family, and so many she met along the way. She had stepchildren and many step-grandchildren that made for wonderful family get-togethers.

Ann is survived by her daughters Mary Ann Toth and Joanne Toth Miranda (Carmen), stepson Jack E Toth (Lori), and stepdaughter Sandy Garcia (Fred). She has a total of 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

A simple graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala, FL on Sunday, August 4, at 11 a.m.
