A guest speaker will provide a free lecture at a local park this week to teach youth how to take civic action to protect the environments and communities in which they live.
Dr. Megan Ennes will speak during the Summer Nights lecture series on Thursday, August 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fort King National Historic Landmark, which is located at 3925 E Fort King St. in Ocala.
Each week, the series explores Ocala’s and Florida’s past with new topics presented by experts in natural and historical resources.
This week, Dr. Megan Ennes will speak on supporting Civic Youth Engagement for the Environment. Guests will explore how to support the youth in this community as they take civic action for the world around them.
