Wawa offering free coffees, sodas to Marion County teachers

A gas station chain is offering free coffees and fountain drinks to all teachers in the state of Florida through the end of the next week to celebrate the start of the school year.

Wawa began its “Cheers to Classrooms” promotion on Monday, August 5. The promotion, which is valid in Alabama and Florida and extends through Sunday, August 18, allows teachers and school staff to receive a free hot coffee or fountain drink of any size.

To redeem, teachers and school staff simply need to inform the associate at the register that they are a member of a local school system. The offer is valid in stores only and does not work with the Wawa App or delivery services.

“As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee and beverages to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of August,” said Robert Yeatts, Senior Director of Store Operations, Wawa.

There are six Wawa locations across the city of Ocala, with a seventh location currently under construction along County Road 484.

The sixth Wawa location in Ocala opened along State Road 200 earlier this year.
