El Patrón opens new Mexican restaurant in Ocala

A new Mexican restaurant just joined the scene in southwest Ocala.

El Patron Mexican Grill and Bar is now open at 3101 SW 34th Avenue, #1000. The new restaurant is in the Shoppes at Paddock Park, near the Paddock Mall.

Billed as a “fiesta for your taste buds,” the restaurant blends flavors of traditional Mexican cuisine with the “warmth and hospitality of Texan culture,” according to a statement from its website.

Ocala-News.com first reported the new Mexican restaurant back in April.

El Patron serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and opens daily at 10 a.m. For breakfast, several classic dishes are available, including huevos (eggs) rancheros, which is comprised of two sunny-side-up eggs with tomatoes, onions, and peppers.

For lunch and dinner, the restaurant has an extensive menu of traditional, authentic Mexican dishes. That includes classics like tacos, burritos, tostadas, enchiladas, tamales, and tortas, which are Mexican sandwiches stuffed with refried beats, a protein, and several other fillings.

There are dozens of chicken, steak, seafood, and vegetarian dishes at the restaurant, as well as a large collection of sides and drinks to choose from.

All dishes are served with rice, beans, and tortillas.

The new restaurant is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., except Sunday and Tuesday, when it closes at 9 p.m.
