A family that opened a new food truck in Ocala just a few months ago has already won multiple awards at competitions across Florida for their barbecue.
Blessed Beyond BBQ officially opened its new food truck in late June. The family-owned business is operated by husband and wife Randall and Misty Moss, and their daughter, Alexis.
According to their website, the Moss family spent hours learning the “best techniques and flavor combinations possible.”
“It may be a lot of work, but when you’re doing it with family, that work becomes a privilege,” reads a statement from the family’s website.
Billed as an award-winning, Christian-based barbecue company, the food truck’s motto is “So good, even the angels are singing!”
The family regularly posts biblical verses on its website and social media profiles, and has at least two verses, Psalms 34:8 and Corinthians 15:57, proudly displayed on its food truck.
In 2024 alone, the Moss family has already competed in more than a half dozen barbecue competitions. Over the weekend, Blessed Beyond BBQ won first place at Que for a Cure, an epilepsy fundraiser held in Riverview, Florida.
This May at the Sanford Riverwalk Rhythm and Blues Barbecue Festival, the Moss family claimed several first-place awards, including first place overall, first place in ribs, and first place for peoples’ choice.
