Frank August Spinosa, 85, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, after a long illness. Born on July 2, 1939, in Albany, NY to Sante Spinosa and Anna Tepedino.
Frank lived a life of service, embodying the Rotary Motto, “Service Above Self.” He was a Rotarian for 22 years, serving as president of the Homosassa Springs Rotary Club from 1994-1995 and the Ocala Southwest Rotary Club from 2007 – 2008. His dedication to others was recognized through his receipt of the esteemed Paul Harris Fellow award, reflecting a life lived in kindness, generosity, and community involvement.
Frank spent 17 years working as a Service Manager for AM International before choosing to chart his own path as a self-employed entrepreneur. Together with his beloved wife, Eileen, Frank opened their first print shop in Carver, MA. Their shared vision and hard work led them to new opportunities in Florida, where they purchased and operated another print shop in Homosassa.
After selling the Homosassa shop in 1997, Frank and Eileen both obtained their Real Estate Licenses, earning Outstanding Achievers Awards from the Marion County Board of Realtors. Outside of his professional achievements, Frank found joy in simple pleasures—whether it was reading a good book or engaging in a friendly game of Texas Hold’Em with friends in his community.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Eileen; his son Christopher Spinosa (Ruth-Ann); his daughters Catherine Lavoie (Norm) and Margaret Goodrich (Richard); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His legacy of love, service, and family will be cherished by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Frank’s life will be held on October 26, 2024. Frank’s life was a testament to the impact one person can make when they live with purpose, compassion, and dedication to others. He will be deeply missed.
