Robert Michael McGrogin, age 64, of Ocala, Florida, died on August 18, 2024.

Bob was born on March 31, 1960 in Norfolk, England to Lawrence and Jennifer McGrogin. His father was serving in the United States Air Force, stationed in England, and met Jennifer Bell, who would become his wife.

When Bob was 6 months old, his family moved to New Jersey USA, where he grew up.

Bob graduated from Township High School North and attended Brookdale Community College. Bob was trained as a Boiler Technician and became a skilled Machinist.

Bob met his wife, Kathleen Burns, in New Jersey, and they married in March 1986.

Bob and Kathleen relocated to Ocala where Bob found work with Emergency One as a Machinist. He served E-1 faithfully for decades, until he became disabled by a stroke in 2022.

Bob and Kathleen were married for more than 30 years when she died after an illness.

Bob was also preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Jennifer, and his brother John.

In 2019, Bob met Barbara ( Bobbi ) Gunter through a mutual friend. He and Bobbi became faithful companions until he passed away suddenly on August 18, 2024.

Bob was a hardworking, loyal, and kindhearted man.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved companion, Bobbi Gunter, extended family to include the Burns’ from New Jersey, the McGrogins’ from New Jersey, and the Bells’ from England, along with friends from his workplace, E-1.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE 21st Avenue, Anthony, Florida 32617 on Friday, September 06, 2024 at 6 p.m.
