James Alan Erickson, 72 years old, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on the 25 th of
August 2024, in the care of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital Hospice surrounded by his loving wife and stepchildren.

Jim was born in Washington D.C. to Lt. Colonel (R) Burdette Warren and Geraldine
Ruth Erickson on the 12 th of September 1951. He graduated from Our Lady of Good
Counsel Catholic High School and went on to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in business administration from George Washington University. He developed
his professional career working for Hewlett Packard over the course of 32 years, retiring
as a Global Real Estate Portfolio Manager.

He found joy in collecting rare books and vintage music, reading best sellers, studying history, relaxing on the beach, listening to music, and watching sports on television. He took pride in being known as the Pop-Pop that took his grandkids to the park every day after school to play with their friends.

Throughout the years, he contributed his time and resources to various charities, and
local organizations that directly supported the community in which he lived. In his
retirement, he encouraged and supported his daughter to develop a family owned and
operated small business in Ocala, FL. His legacy survives on in the many lives that are
touched daily at Be Well Holistic Massage Wellness Center.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia G. Erickson of Ocala, FL. His stepchildren Jason
Jewell his husband, Dominik, and their son Izaac, and Brittney Jewell her children’s
father Tony LaBille, and their children Izaiah, Jace, and Keyana LaBille. His Sisters
Candace “Candy” Erickson and Judith “Judy” Erickson. His nieces and nephews
Kimberly Erickson, Jospeh Erickson, Alexander Erickson, and Riana (Erickson)
Grenham. His three great-nieces Grace, Caroline, and Katherine Villa.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Lt. Colonel (R) Burdette W. and Geraldine Erickson. His Brother Burdette “Bud” Erickson and his sister-in-law Kathy Erickson.

A funeral service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home of Ocala, FL, on the 8th of September 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
