A new restaurant serving tacos, tequila, and Mexican cuisine is currently building out a space within a southwest Ocala plaza.
Frida’s Tacos & Tequila is currently under build-out at 2445 SW 27th Avenue, within the Shady Oaks Shopping Center in Ocala.
Although an opening date has not yet been announced, a “coming soon” sign has been hanging at the building for several weeks.
Frida’s joins several other new businesses that have opened their doors at Shady Oaks Shopping Center over the past year, including Soleil Bakery, AR Workshop, and Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ, which recently celebrated its grand reopening under new ownership.
Fifth Third Bank is currently renovating the former Boston Market location, which sits in an outparcel at the plaza.
When it opens, Frida’s will be one of at least four new Mexican restaurants that have opened in Ocala over the past six months.
El Patrón Mexican Grill and Bar opened within the Shoppes at Paddock Park earlier this Summer.
La Catrina Cocina Mexicana opened its new Mexican restaurant at Churchill Square in April.
My Quate Taste-Mex opened in downtown Ocala in March, just a month after its predecessor vacated the building.
