Ivy Nicole Gilley, 44, of Dunnellon, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Born on December 29, 1979, in Brooksville, FL, Ivy was a lifelong resident of the area and a beloved member of the Inglis/ Yankeetown community.
Ivy dedicated several years of her career to Duke Energy at the Crystal River power plant, where she made lasting contributions and friendships. Her presence and dedication will be deeply missed by those who knew and worked with her.
Ivy is survived by her cherished daughter, Averi Loftin; her loving parents, Debra and William Blair; and her devoted sisters, Samantha Bass (Joshua) and Charlem Stacy (Steve). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly. Ivy’s memory will be especially treasured by her fiancĂ©, Eric Erkel, and her dear friend, Dawn Carmichael.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Gilley; her paternal grandparents, Clara and Bill Blair; her maternal grandparents, Ruth and Samuel Garrett; and her best friend, Rhiannon Castle, who she now joins in eternal rest.
Ivy’s kindness, strength, and love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
