Robert Lester (Bob) Mellott, 84, of Ocala, Fl, passed away on August 30, 2024, in Ocala, FL. Bob was born in Hanover, PA, to Helen and Howard Mellott on February 23, 1940.

He attended Hanover Senior High School. Married Doris Beaver on December 16, 1957. He was retired at the time of his death. He loved Country Gospel Music, being a Volunteer Fireman, Enjoyed yard work, Christmas lights, Fireworks, Watching Airplanes land and take off, NASCAR, and eating at his favorite restaurants in Ocala. His top 8 were Charle’s Subs, Wing Stop, Coney Island Hotdogs Wildwood, Culver’s, Piesanos, Lee’s Chick, Wolfy’s, Bob Evans.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris May Beaver Mellott, with whom he is now reunited. They had been married 63 years at the time of her passing. Bob is survived by his baby daughter Joyce Smoker, married to Barry of Newberry, FL. Son, Dan Mellott, married to Deborah, of Leeds, AL. Daughter, Donna Stambaugh, married to Jay, of New Oxford, PA, and eldest Son, Jeffrey Mellott, of Ocala, FL, with whom he resided with at the time of his death. He is also survived by one sibling, Janice Dice, of Ohio, 9 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Roberts West Chapel of Ocala Funerals and Cremations will be handling his cremation on Friday, 13, 2024 after which his remains will be united with his beloved at the Ocala home they shared since 2013.
