Linda Sue Wise of Sharon, Pennsylvania passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 in Ocala, Florida.Linda was born in Sharon, PA to James and Joan (Love) Shipton on Sunday, November 28, 1948. Her Uncle, Norman Shipton and wife, Delores Huff would raise her after a tragic accident in 1960 took the lives of her parents and young brother. She was a majorette and basketball player at Sharpsville High School, where she would earn her diploma, in 1966. She went on to the earn her Associate in Nursing at Jameson School of Nursing in New Castle, PA. Throughout her career she held R.N. positions in hospitals in PA, IN, SC and FL, with areas of expertise in ICU and CCU, as well as long term care with Lifecare Centers of Charleston, to include a dedication to the Alzheimer’s wing. Toward the end of her career she would work as a traveling nurse until retirement.

In her free time Linda worked around the clock on her self-designed beautiful landscaped yard, and would lose herself in DIY projects for her home or family members’ homes. She was always present at her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and extra-curricular activities. She was a great sport herself, as family often razzed her bout the volume of cheers of encouragement! She also loved spending vacation time with family or friends at every opportunity.

Linda is survived by her husband William Wise of Hermitage, PA, her sister, Kathy Huff of Sharpsville, PA, daughters, Laurie Wise and Kimberly Ragle, and her children Mackenzie and Cooper Ragle and nephew Robby Barris of West Middlese, PA as well as his sons, A.J., Jacob, and Brett Barris. She also leaves behind eighteen nieces and nephews between both sides of her family.

She was preceded in death and loving memory by parents, James and Joan Shipton, brother, Jimmy Shipton, uncle, Norman Shipton, aunt, Delores Huff, and beloved grandson, Nathaniel Arasimowicz.

Funeral Service will be held at Roberts of Ocala Funeral Home, 606 SW 2nd Avenue Ocala, FL 34471 on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a hour long service immediately following with Father Don Curran, Rector of Christ the King Anglican Church officiating.
