The first of two planned Smalls Sliders locations in Ocala will open later this week.

Smalls Sliders will celebrate its grand opening at 3394 SW College Road on Thursday, September 19, at 10:30 a.m.

Located at the Shoppes at Paddock Park, the new restaurant says it will give the first 100 visitors a pair of Smalls Sliders Smorange slides.

“We are excited to become a place where the community gathers and enjoys delicious sliders, shakes and fries,” said Doug Cone, Smalls Sliders franchisee and operator, in a press release.

Cone, who founded Cone Distributing in Ocala over 40 years ago, has signed on to open multiple franchises locally and around the state.

Ocala-News.com first announced the new Smalls Sliders in May. Since then, construction crews have made brisk progress at the southwest Ocala site.

In July, the organization celebrated a “can drop” at the restaurant, commemorating the delivery of the shipping containers comprising the structure.

When it opens later this week, Smalls Sliders will serve burgers, fries, and shakes. All items are made to order using fresh ingredients.
