There will be multiple lane closures on Interstate 75 and State Road 200 this week, and the off-ramp from I-75 to SR 200 will close overnight as construction crews make improvements to both roadways.
The Florida Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the northbound off-ramp from I-75 to SR 200 will close from 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, to 6 a.m. on Monday, September 30.
Motorists traveling northbound on I-75 who want to exit at SR 200 (Exit 350) should continue north on I-75 and exit at State Road 40 (Exit 352) instead. After exiting, turn left on SR 40, turn left to reenter I-75 southbound, and drive to SR 200 (Exit 350).
In addition to the off-ramp closure, there will be periodic overnight northbound and southbound lane closures on I-75 between Exit 350 (SR 200) and Exit 341 (County Road 484). The closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday, September 29, through Saturday, October 5.
FDOT also reports that there will be lane closures on State Road 200, from Southwest 27th Avenue to U.S. Highway 301, from Sunday, September 29, through Friday, October 4. The closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. Night work will be for barrier wall installation at SW 34th Street.
The roadwork is part of separate projects by FDOT to provide operational and safety improvements along SR 200 and resurface of I-75 from the Sumter County line to SR 200.
