Marion County firefighters came to the rescue of a dog on Monday evening after the pet fell into a 14-foot hole.

According to Marion County Fire Rescue, several unit were dispatched to an animal rescue facility located in the 4700 block of SW 143rd Loop in Ocala at around 7:05 p.m. on Monday, September 30.

MCFR stated that a man had called 911 to report that his dog, Bella, had fallen into a hole that was approximately 14 feet deep.

Within minutes, MCFR crews arrived on scene and located the hole that Bella was trapped in.

In order to reach Bella, one of the firefighters was lowered into the hole.

After making contact with Bella at the bottom of the hole, the firefighter secured her with a harness, and MCFR crew members above ground helped lift her to safety.

There were no injuries reported.

Following the rescue, Bella was happily reunited with her owner.
