An apparel company known for yoga pants and shapewear is making progress on its first location in Ocala, which it plans to open in the coming weeks.
A new Lululemon is currently being built out at the Paddock Mall (3100 SW College Road). The retailer takes over the former location of Charlotte Russe, which closed earlier this year as part of a slate of closures nationwide.
According to a sign posted on the business, the new Lululemon should open this fall.
The new location in Ocala will be a pop-up shop offering a reduced inventory.
Lululemon is known for its athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories for yoga, running, training, and other sports and activities.
Founded in 1998 by Chip Wilson, Lululemon Athletica is headquartered in Canada and currently operates over 700 stores across the world, with just over half of those in the United States.
There are approximately 34 Lululemon stores across the state of Florida. Many of those establishments are concentrated in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando.
According to the list, the new pop-up store in Ocala is the company’s first location serving North Central Florida.
When it opens, Lululemon will join multiple new businesses that have opened at the Paddock Mall this year.
- Pandora recently opened its first standalone location in Ocala at the mall.
- Popeyes opened its first location in the mall over the Summer
- MINISO opened a new Chinese lifestyle brand shop in May
- Blossom Juicy Bar opened a new boba tea shop in the food court
- Florida Fishin’ Apparel, Windsor, Torrid, and Perfekta all opened apparel stores
In the coming weeks, Restaurant Depot will open its first location in Ocala at the mall.
Additionally, the Paddock Market, a new artisan and dining space, is still under buildout as well.
