A 44-year-old man died on Sunday morning after the ATV he was riding crashed in Williston.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 27, in the 2200 block of NE 120th Avenue in Williston.

FHP stated that the ATV was riding next to a large depression in the ground when the front right tire “slipped,” causing the vehicle to roll into the hole.

During the rollover crash, the rider was thrown from the ATV. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No further details were provided by FHP regarding the identity of the ATV’s rider or the cause of the crash.

Earlier this month, a 22-year-old man was killed after his ATV collided with a tree in Williston.
