Donald Trump has won Marion County by a near two-to-one margin, all Republican incumbents have been reelected, and the county approved a 20-year extension of the 1% sales surtax on Tuesday.

Election results are still being updated by the Marion County Supervisor of Elections as of 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5.

Nearly 60% of precincts have reported and around 172,853 ballots in Marion County have been recorded.

In addition to winning the county, Donald Trump has also won the state of Florida and its 30 electoral votes.

Although there are tens of thousands of votes left to count in Marion County, the results are mostly decisive, with many of the races already out of reach.

Kat Cammack will likely be reelected as U.S. Representative for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District. The congresswoman beat out Democrat Tom Wells.

Rick Scott won reelection as United States Senator, drawing over 60% of the vote in Marion County.

Michael Waltz will be reelected to represent Florida’s 6th congressional district, more than doubling his opponent, James David Stockton II, in votes.

Stan McClain will be reelected as State Senator for Florida’s 9th District, Ryan D. Chamberlin will be reelected as State Representative for Florida’s 24th District, and Matt McClain will retain his seat on the Board of County Commissioners.

Richard Gentry will be State Representative for Florida’s 27th District, and Judson Sapp was elected as State Representative for Florida’s 20th District.

J.J. Grow was reelected as State Representative for Florida’s 23rd District.

The 20-year extension of the existing sales surtax is likely to be approved, although results are still being tabulated. Similarly, the school capital outlay sales surtax is still too close to call.
